Kia Ora,
This is an interim update regarding the ongoing development of our BODYCOMBAT Fanpages.
At this moment, all Fanpages have been successfully migrated from the BCv2.5 framework to BCv4:
- BODYCOMBAT NLBE Fanpage (BODYCOMBAT NLBE Fanpage)
- BODYCOMBAT Global Fanpage (BODYCOMBAT Global Fanpage)
- BCNLBE & BCGlobal Blog & News Fanpage (BC Blog & News Fanpage)
Last Thursday (September 24, 2026), the final Fanpage, the BODYCOMBAT Global Fanpage, was successfully migrated to BCv4.
With this milestone, the BCv4 project has officially been completed after months of intensive development, testing, and implementation. Throughout this journey, we have shared updates about the development process and the various project phases. The result is a complete ecosystem of Fanpages that are closely connected, both technically and visually.

The BODYCOMBAT Fanpage Ecosystem
π₯ BODYCOMBAT NLBE Fanpage
Website: BODYCOMBAT NLBE Fanpage (mainpage)
The BODYCOMBAT NLBE Fanpage was founded on 1 March 2006 by Bas. After three years of dedicated training at his local fitness club, he decided to share his passion for BODYCOMBAT with fellow enthusiasts online.
In 2008, the official .nl domain was registered and the website gradually evolved into one of the largest Dutch-speaking BODYCOMBAT fan communities.
π BODYCOMBAT Global Fanpage
Website: BODYCOMBAT Global Fanpage (Before named: BODYCOMBAT Worlwide / EUINT Fanpage)
The international BODYCOMBAT Global Fanpage was launched in April 2016. As international visitor numbers continued to grow, the need for an English-language platform became increasingly apparent.
The website was developed as the European and international counterpart to the Dutch-language Fanpage and continues to serve BODYCOMBAT fans from around the world.
π° BCNLBE & BCGlobal Blog & News Fanpage
Website: BC Blog & News Fanpage
In August 2026, our dedicated Blog & News Fanpage was launched. It serves as a central community and information hub for BODYCOMBAT enthusiasts worldwide.
Through this platform, we share:
- The latest BODYCOMBAT news (Quater Update)
- In-depth articles and feature content (short summary)
- Practical training and fitness tips
- Information about Les Mills programmes (Quater Update)
- Announcements for live events
- Updates on new BODYCOMBAT releases (tracklist announcement combined with the quarterly update)
Continued Development
Although the BCv4 project has been completed, development does not stop here.
Behind the scenes, we will continue to improve and refine our Fanpages through:
- Visitor feedback
- Technical enhancements
- Suggestions from the Fanpage Crew
- Developments within the wider Les Mills ecosystem
At this time, there are no plans to develop a new framework version. Our focus for the coming years will remain on the ongoing technical and functional development of BCv4.
In addition, the visual identity of all Fanpages has been further aligned with the branding and design guidelines of Les Mills International and BODYCOMBAT, creating a more consistent experience across all platforms.
BCv4: Design & Development Choices
The decision to build and adopt the BCv4 framework was based on several technical, visual, and strategic considerations.
π€ Better for OLED and AMOLED Displays
More and more visitors access websites on smartphones and tablets equipped with OLED and AMOLED screens.
On these display technologies, darker colours consume less power while delivering higher contrast levels. This results in a more comfortable reading experience, especially during longer visits.
π₯ Aligned with the BODYCOMBAT Experience
BODYCOMBAT is built around focus, strength, energy, and intensity.
A darker visual foundation helps reinforce that experience while allowing photography, videos, and accent colours to stand out more effectively. This creates a stronger connection between the website and the dynamic nature of the programme itself.
π― Consistent with the Les Mills Brand
Les Mills and BODYCOMBAT have long embraced dark backgrounds, bold imagery, and high-contrast visuals.
BCv4 follows this design philosophy, providing a recognisable and professional appearance that aligns with the wider global (LES MILLS) BODYCOMBAT community.
π More Focus, More Impact
By using a clean and minimalist dark foundation, key website elements receive greater attention.
Release information, news updates, announcements, and calls-to-action become more visible and impactful. Less visual clutter allows visitors to focus on what matters most.
Accessibility & Readability
π Improved Readability
The combination of a dark background and light-coloured text creates a clear visual hierarchy.
Important information, buttons, and announcements become easier to identify and navigate. Within a high-energy environment such as BODYCOMBAT, this helps direct attention immediately towards the most relevant content.
Future-Proof Design
π± Designed with Mobile Users in Mind
Today, the majority of website traffic originates from mobile devices.
The dark and high-contrast design approach used in BCv4 aligns with modern user expectations and complements the growing popularity of dark mode settings across smartphones, tablets, and computers.
This ensures that our Fanpages remain modern, accessible, and enjoyable to use well into the future.
In Summary
The decision to introduce a dark background within BCv4 is the result of combining technology, readability, brand identity, and future-focused design principles.
The overall design reflects the powerful identity of BODYCOMBAT and the wider Les Mills brand while delivering an optimal experience on modern devices.
By bringing content and presentation together, BCv4 creates a platform that is ready for the future.
“Strong in content, powerful in appearance.”
